5700 firmware upgrade

Most of us Asians have been waiting for a new firmware update for the Nokia 5700 since last year cause we're stuck with the buggy firmware v3.27. While Europe and United States gets the latest v3.83.1 and the latest v4.21 firmware, we Asian are still stuck with the dinosaur age v3.27. Sucky isn't it?? But what to do~our pal Nokia were too lazy to create new firmware for us and decided to concentrate on their continent, like Sony Ericsson releasing state of the art phones exclusively for Japan only. Ever heard of a Bravia phone?? Japan has it and it was produced 2 years ago, using a Bravia TV microchip and rembating it into a handphone~if the phone supports Full HD I'll definitely find a way to connect the PS3 to the phone. HAHA

Nevertheless~I've found a way to upgrade the 5700 to the latest firmware. So I'm going to share it to you guys how to upgrade it. This software is harmless and it doesn't corrupt your phone in any way. This software can also upgrade different Nokia models but you just need to find the product code.

To update to latest firmware.

Download - Nokia Software Updater (From Nokia Website)

1)Now connect your handset via usb, open the NSS software scan your phone.

2)Goto phone info tab, towards right side there is "Production Data Edit".

3)Below that there is "Read" option click it.

4)Now tick and turn "Product code enable"

5)Write down your original product code for backup.

6)Enter this code "0544847" this is EURO1

7)Click Write

8)Now you may close NSS.Install PC suite and nokia software updaterWarning : Before you update make sure you have stable internet connection. Power backup. Updating will take some time depending upon your connection speed.and yes please do not remove the cable in between and follow on screen instructions carefully.

9)Open NSU (Nokia Software Updater), it will scan for your phone.

10)If everything goes well it will tell you that 3.83.1 is available.

11)Click next and the flashing begins.

After succesful flasing you may ervert back to your old product code by following steps 1-8 only this time use your backup product code in step 6.
