The Nissan GTR models is the most well known super car in Japan for its performance and precise handling. The GTR was born during 1969 and it was called the Datsun Skyline GTR model PGC-10 followed by KPGC110, a 1972 Skyline model. However this model was unsuccessful with only 197 cars sold due to the petrol crisis during the early 70s. This would be the last GTR model until its revival of the GTR name during the late 80s. This was the time Nissan Skylines a.k.a Godzilla reign supreme in every race with its legendary R32, R33 and R34 models.
With its All-wheel drive drive train this car can actually hit 100km/h within 5 seconds. The Skylines was one of the fastest road cars in the world. But during February 2002 Nissan decided to stop cease production of Skylines with its final production called the Nissan Skyline GTR M-Spec Nür. During that year, Nissan already had another car in mind called the Nissan GTR~ no longer carrying the Skyline badge, this car was going to be the best super car Nissan had ever made. Each GTR was built by a group of 10 highly trained engineers at Tochigi, the main factory of the GTR. This car is equipped with a dual clutch semi-automatic transmission in conjunction with the ATTESA E-TS system to provide power to all four wheels and along with Nissan's Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC-R) aids in handling and stability and three shift modes to be selected for various conditions. It is said that this car changes gear faster than you blinking your eyes as 0.600sec per shift.
In 6 December 2007, the all new Nissan GTR began production, thus a new Godzilla was born. This car was built to beat Porsche, but it did more than that by setting a record of 7.38sec at the Nurburgring beating the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes McLaren and even mighty Bugatti Veyron that is the fastest car in the world. When it all comes down to it, this new Nissan GTR is just like an ordinary everyday family coupe that can be driven anywhere without any worries waiting for you to unleash its sheer power on the road.
